Right Bower Kitchen & Coffee: On a Mission to New Experiences
Right Bower Kitchen & Coffee is an all-day destination for food, drinks, art and entertainment and, yes, a spirited game of Euchre, located on Old Mission Peninsula.
With the welcoming outstretched arms of owner Victoria Levinsohn and her team, the epicurean medley is endless, including a Bower Breakfast of Toasted Brioche Sandwich with sage aioli, arugula and a soft-baked cheesy egg with crème fraiche and green onion to Cinnamon Oat Pancakes served with Greek yogurt, spiced apple compote, maple syrup and crunchy pepitas. You’ll pore over a fresh baked collection of scones and cookies, including a Vegan Ginger Molasses Cookie.
On weekends, options soar to encompass Gooey Cinnamon rolls and brown sugar donuts. And there are always soups, salads, wraps and even a grilled cheese to further test your selection prowess. An after-hours menu offers cocktails at neighboring Old Mission Distilling.

Levinsohn’s story is one of a classic entrepreneur who has the interests, ingenuity and drive to excel in everything from international studies and living in Argentina to doing remote digital marketing while based in eastern Europe to training for a triathlon.
And now, settling in Traverse City to own and operate Right Bower Kitchen & Coffee where people gather to enjoy delicious coffees and everything from delectable daytime fare to specially designed four course meals – truly something for everyone amid the spell-binding scenery of Old Mission Peninsula, a pleasurably short drive from Traverse City. A few miles, yet a world away. As framed by the “Right Bower,” this is a place that trumps the competition for those seeking a fresh and winning experience – you can “go alone” or with a crowd.
“Like the game of Euchre, the origin of the name of our business, we want people to enjoy Right Bower to get to know one another and explore connections and new friendships,” said Levinsohn. “While sharing the goodness of coffee and food, we want guests to join us in building our community in ways that vary from small to mighty, with the spirit of the game being a unifying Midwest attitude that makes it all possible.”
Levinsohn’s family history extends from East Lansing, Michigan to the four corners of the world. She graduated from Pepperdine University in Los Angeles – chosen in part because of their stellar study abroad program – in 2021. She got her first glimpse of café management in Malibu before working for two years in digital marketing while traveling, learning and volunteering in Eastern Europe.
“Right Bower was my opportunity to settle in a community,” she says. “I’m excited about building long term relationships while providing good jobs and curating stand-out events like special tastings (the latest a result from a recent trip to El Salvador!), a weekly Euchre Night and a once monthly Right Bower Dinner Club with limited, special seating for an evening of memorable experiences.”
At Right Bower, the possibilities are endless. New, cool merchandise including custom-made playing cards are on the horizon! And then there’s the Northern Michigan Triathlon Club. But mostly spectacular food and beverages in a slam-dunk winning setting.
