Additional Info/Resources Related to the March 28th Ice Storm
FHLBank Indianapolis has opened its Disaster Relief Program for homeowners in Northern Michigan. The Disaster Relief Program provides rapid, short-term financial assistance to support immediate relief for households affected by natural disasters after a state or federally declared emergency.
FHLBank Members may access up to $25,000 total in Disaster Relief funds to provide up to $10,000 assistance per household. The program is available on a first-come, first-served basis until May 30, 2025, or until funds are exhausted.

Individual Relief Grants – The Michigan Credit Union Foundation (MCUF) Ice Storm Relief Fund will provide $500 direct grants to credit union members in areas hardest hit by the storm. 100% of donations go directly to supporting individuals and families as they work to regain stability and rebuild.

Non-Profit Service Org Relief Grants – In response to the devastating ice storms that have affected much of northeast Michigan, the Community Foundation for Northeast Michigan (CFNEM) has reactivated its Urgent Needs Fund to support those most impacted across the region. The Fund will provide immediate assistance to local nonprofits serving individuals and families facing hardship due to the storm's aftermath.
